This system was installed by ''Initial Electronic Security Systems Ltd' ' in the heart of Glasgow's 'Merchant City'. the development was constructed by a partnership headed by Strathclyde Homes.
On this project there is 1 entrance and 69 apartments. The majority of the apartments are fitted with an audio handset (WL-02NLfd), but a video signal from the entrance panel is fed into the communal aerial system allowing all tenants to tune their TV in to view the calling person at the front door.
The entrances are fitted with a Stainless Steel Digital Video Entrance Panel(VRVCM-03NL/p). The entrance panel also has electronic RFID access control integrated into the panel. On Penthouse apartments, which are duplex flats they have two colour video handsets in each.
Summary- 1x Audio/Video Entrance Panel, 67x Internal Audio Handsets, 1x RFID Prox readers, 4 Internal DuplexVideo Handsets
System Operation
Visitors approaching the entrance can use the panel (VRCM-03NL/p) to contact the relevant apartment, once the call is received two way speech shall open. The Camera which is housed inside the entrance panel shall then transmit its image into the communal aerial system, thus allowing tennants the ability to tune their TV in to view the calling person. On Penthouse apartments the image shall also be displayed on both of their video handsets. At this point the resident can either allow or deny access to the visitor remotely via the same unit.
Residents approaching the entrances only have to present their unique RFID token to the entrance panel reader, which shall automatically unlock the door for them.

This system was installed by ''Initial Electronic Security Systems Ltd' ' on the extreme West Coast Of Scotland. The project was a successful renovation of the 'Abbey' luxury apartments. It is Phase 1 of an ongoing project.
On this project at present there are 2 entrances and 24 apartments. The apartments are fitted with an audio handset (WL-02NLfd). The entrances are fitted with a Stainless Steel Digital Entrance Panel(VRVCM-03NL/p). The entrance panels also has electronic RFID access control integrated into the panel.
The system has been 'Future proofed', ie it has built in expansion capabilities. It will be the intention to add several more entrance panels, and apartments along with a Concierge Unit (WL-03NMC).
